The States Project 2023

“Johnny, what’s the matter with you? Why on earth are you not actively promoting your painted states?!”

Earlier this year, a friend texted me the above after he purchased one of my STATES…

Well, it's been over 10 years since I finished painting each American state and although I didn’t forget about the project after it was completed, I didn’t really think about it until I read his text.

And he was right. I needed to revisit The States Project, it had been way too long.

I immediately dove into my art storage and found the old crate that contained TSP, and to my delight, every single state still looked just as marvelous as the day I laid them to rest.

I then broke out my camera, tripod and other art nerd equipment (yeah, I’ve been known to geek out once and a while) and feverishly began to shoot each state and digitalize them for the world to enjoy.

And at last, after countless late nights and an ocean of coffee, I bring you the STATES PROJECT of 2023!

The sole purpose of this project is to entertain, enlighten and educate. Each state is incredibly unique and includes cities, iconic pop culture references, historical facts and a lot more interesting goodies.

A little bonus history, each American state was hand painted on high quality canvases (1m x 1m) then digitally mastered and now they are yours to collect and enjoy!
And I recommend that you collect them all.
